lemon demon - eighth wonder

lemon demon is the musical project and band of neil cicierega. known on the internets for hilarity such as harry potter puppet pals and the ultimate showdown, he started making music under the name lemon demon in 2003. members were gathered over the years, the new additions being his neighbour/childhood friend Alora Lanzillotta, his brother-in-law Charles “Chooch” Sergio, and one Tony Wry. lemon demon has released 7 full length albums and have played a number of gigs at festivals, conventions and backyards.

originating from idaho, built to spill are an indie rock band formed in 1992. they have released seven studio albums. popular indie rock bands such as modest mouse and death cab for cutie have cited built to spill as important influences on their music.

obi best - it’s because of people like you

obi best is an indie pop band formed by singer/songwriter alex lilly. they released their debut album ‘capades’ in 2009, and released their first EP in 2010, ‘sentimental education’. 

voxtrot - the start of something

voxtrot was an indie pop band from austin, texas. formed by singer/songwriter Ramesh Srivastava in the early 2000’s, the band broke up in 2010. their discography is comprised of 3 EPs and 1 full length album.

copeland was an indie rock band, originally formed in 2001 in lakeland, florida by singer aaron marsh with his friend and bassist james likeness. copeland’s music has been placed under genres such as slowcore, indie pop, ambient, alternative rock, baroque pop and acoustic rock. having released 5 full-length albums and 6 EPs, the band announced in october 2009 their plans of disbandment, which would follow after a farewell spring tour.

gotye is wally de backer’s solo project. born in belgium but now residing in melbourne, he produces records on his own with the help of samples. the name ‘gotye’ comes from a pet name his mother gave him, gaultier, the french version of his real name, walter. gotye covers a wide selection of genres but could be described generally as alternative, indie or electronica. 

explosions in the sky - so long, lonesome

explosions in the sky is a texas post-rock band formed in 1999. their music is mostly instrumental, sometimes experimental and often very emotional. they have released six albums, including the rescue which was written in eight days, one song for each day.

albert hammond, jr. - in transit

albert hammond, jr. is a singer-songwriter best known for his part in the famous rock band, the strokes. he originates from los angeles, usa and has released two solo albums in 2006 and 2008 which can best be described as alternative rock.

stars - calendar girl

stars is an indie-pop band from canada formed in toronto in 1998. all members are also part of musical collective, broken social scene. stars has a rather extensive discography with five albums, five eps, one dvd and one remix albums. it also has two lead singers; torquil campbell and amy millan.
